I am a specialist in inland fisheries management. I also have a rich background in forestry. This rare combination has enhanced my understanding and appreciation of the intimate interconnectedness of the various components of our natural environment. My research interests revolve around these broad areas of fisheries and forestry especially on how to achieve sustainability in resources use (trees and fish) so as to secure rural livelihoods in the midst of climate change. I also have a strong background in teaching methodology and this propels me to communicate products within my expertise to the community.
