Academic and Research Interests
Fisheries Science, Aquaculture and Fish Nutrition
I am a Fisheries and Aquaculture Scientist. My research study within the fisheries sector cuts across a number of areas of interest including fish nutrition. I use field surveys and experiments to explore this field. As Aqua feed specialist, I conduct studies related to fish feed formulation and development for both small and commercial farmers. I evaluate nutrient requirements and digestibility of locally available ingredients for most cultured fish species, which help farmers to have a wide understanding of Fish Nutrition in general and where possible make their own feeds that competes favourably with manufactured ones.
