Appropriate data acquisition methods of importance to forest resource mapping and management
I am a Natural Resource Surveyor/Forest Engineer. My main academic and research interests are in Forest Surveys with a primary focus on cost effective appropriate data acquisition methods of importance to forest resource mapping and management. Of great interest is the comparison of accuracies in forest resource mapping among Ordnance Survey maps, Google Earth images and autonomous GPS receivers, and among different types of autonomous GPS receivers.
