 Academic and research interests
Wood anatomy, Forestry sector economic studies and certification
My experience spans over a combined experience of 23 years working in various wood based industries and academic institutions.  I am a wood scientist, a technologist and forest management specialist. My areas of interest include science, technology and promotion of sustainable forest management and utilization. My research interests are in wood anatomy, wood degradation and protection, value-added wood products and wood waste utilisation. As a forest certification national contact person in Zambia representing the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) I have on the ground experience in new trends in best practices in forest management and chain of custody. I am currently a lecturer in engineered wood products technology, forest products markets and trade and wood preservation.
