Infrastructure Development Updates

The Copperbelt University has in the past few years embarked on a vigorous infrastructure developr.nent programme to ensure that the Institution is a centre of excellence in learning & teaching, research & consultancy, and Public Service. The Institution has as at 30th June, 2009 been running 10 projects and below shows the progress made on each one of them;

School of Technology Classroom Block
Centre for Lifelong Education Complex
  1. Construction of School of Business 1no Office block and Lecture Theatre -completed
  2. Construction of School of Business 4no Classroom Blocks, library and computer rooms - works are at Terrazo floor polishing and painting.
  3. Construction of Male Student Hostel (Phase 1) - Painting is at 80% and part carpentry works at 80%
  4. Construction of Male Student Hostel (Phase 2) - painting is at 80% and part carpentry works at 80%.
  5. Construction of School ofTechnology Classroom Block - project completed
  6. Construction of School of Technology Ablution Block - project completed.
  7. Construction of Centre for Lifelong Education offices and Classroom - project at finishing level.
  8. Construction of School of Business Office Complex - project at roof level
  9. Construction of Female students' hostel (phase 1) -1 st floor concrete slab is at 70%
  10. Construction of Female students' hostel (phase 2) - grouod floor block work at 90%.
  11. Construction of Ablution block for School of Business - project at roofing level
