Undergraduate Degree/Diploma Programmes

The applicant should satisfy the following requirements:-

  • At least ordinary level passes in Mathematics and English Language. Both English Language and Mathematics, which compose Schedule A, are compulsory.
  • Ordinary level passes in at least one or two subjects from schedule (B); and
  • One or two (2) subjects from Schedule (C) to make a total of five (5) subjects.

SCHEDULE (A) (Compulsory)

  • English Language
  • Mathematics

SCHEDULE (B)

Either One (1) or Two (2) subjects from: -

  • Science or
  • Chemistry and Physics or
  • Physical Science

SCHEDULE (C) (is open and includes the subjects listed below);

Either One or Two subjects are chosen from Schedule (C) depending
on the number of subjects selected in Schedule CB).

  • Biology
  • Additional Mathematics
  • Geography
  • Geometrical and Mechanical Drawing
  • History
  • Literature in English
  • Human and Social Biology
  • A Zambian Language
  • Commerce
  • Principles of Accounts
  • A Religious subject
  • Agricultural Science
  • Computer Science
  • Wood Work

NB

  1. If a candidate offers Science and Physical Science, this will be counted as one subject i.e. either Scienceor Physical Science will be chosen and not both subjects at the same time.
  2. If he/she offers both Chemistry and Physics as individual subjects then only one may be chosen BUT he/she must have obtained a credit in the other.
  3. Depending on the subject(s) offered in Schedule (B), a candidate may be required to offer either one or two subjects from Schedule (c)
  4. Entry requirements to all the Degree and Diploma programmes are the same.
